The John Morearty Peace & Justice Center is located just off the Miracle Mile at 231 Bedford Rd. in Stockton, California

The Peace & Justice Center has been housed in an office completely remodeled by volunteers during the summer of  2005, a property owned by Stewart Tabek and Lawerence Knapp partners in law and our allies. To help us pay for the rent we partnered with Miracle Mile Improvement District as they were looking for an office that they could afford. Since then we have shared the space with the San Joaquin International Filmfest, Puentes, Save the Calaveras, and J.C. Wagner Engineering. The Center has provided storage space for the League of Women Voters; hosted two art exhibits; held many meetings and potlucks, movies, speakers and musical events. We even squeezed the Peaceful Holiday Faire in one year! New volunteers carved out a space for Stone Soup – Stockton Community Radio and a variety of shows are played on-line, 24-7.

The Peace and Justice Network Board cannot thank our community enough for the wonderful support, the donations and words of encouragement that mean so much to all of us. Check out the calendar in Connections and on this website and participate in the many activities. Come to us with your ideas and we will provide you with a space to meet, educate, and grow community!

For Information, to submit ideas for the Center, to schedule an event or to volunteer call 467-4455 and leave a message, one of our volunteers will return your call. Or contact us through this website.
